Mickie Laree James (born August 31, 1979) is a professional wrestler and country singer from the United States. She currently works for the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and Impact Wrestling, where she is in her fourth reign as the Impact Knockouts World Champion. James began her professional wrestling career as a valet on the independent circuit in 1999, under the name Alexis Laree. he honed her wrestling skills at many camps before signing with NWA: Total Nonstop Action (NWA: TNA, then Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, now Impact Wrestling) in 2002, where she rose to national prominence. She joined a stable called The Gathering after only a few appearances and was placed into tales with the group. She is the sole female participant.
